The Gut Job

Recently, we purchased a new home.  You would think, someone that deals with design problems on a daily basis, would be very picky when deciding on a new home, but I am the opposite.  It absolutely is a feeling that I get.  I have to feel the house.  It usually happens before I go inside.  I have to be able to picture us living happily there.  Anyway, that is how we came to own this house that needs LOTS OF WORK.  More work than I remember thinking it needed when we put in the offer.  But, it is ours now.  The neighborhood is amazing and so are the neighbors.  They have all made their way over to say hi and tell us how thankful they are that someone is going to be looking after the house that has been so neglected.
